FINE ART COMMISSIONS FOR SCHOOLS
Children's ability to learn is heavily impacted by their surroundings. Color, light, texture, representations of nature all affect the mind's capacity to focus and process information. Elan Design has provided neuroaesthetic consultations to the Principals of two local schools in the area, who were making decisions about the interior design of their schools. Visible benefits have come to show that these thoughtful, careful decisions are contributing to the overall success of the the students, teachers, and staff.
One of the best ways to affect the energy of a space is through the use of art. Eryn Oruncak's fine art is known to enhance the interiors of her well crafted spaces. Oruncak works with students, teachers and staff to create pieces of original fine art for the benefit of the school. Matched with her SIDC certification in neuroaesthetics, Elan Design brings value to school children in the experience and the exposure to these art installations that elevate the atmosphere in their place of learning.

COOPER MIDDLE SCHOOL X ERYN ORUNCAK
Premier Fine Art Commission in the Front Hall of Newly Constructed Building

Viewing art in a space has been shown to create a sense of happiness and well-being. Creating art gives you the opportunity to express yourself, relive memories, and feel connected to yourself and others.
Everyone was invited to participate in this school-wide art commission.
The artwork created that day was a reward for the steadiness of all students and staff during construction and will be the premier artwork in the newly built main hallway.
Seventh and eighth grade classes came together in their color groups at lunch to paint a stroke on this abstract artwork under the direction of Eryn Oruncak.
Eryn Oruncak is the Founder of Elan Design, and a mom to one of the classmates. She designed six canvases depicting each color team.
Each color stands independently while also overlapping to its neighbor. All together, this six panel art piece illustrates the beauty, strength, and success that each and every one of the students have brought to the school - independently, as team, and as an integral part of the student body at Cooper Middle School during renovations and beyond.
All were invited to step up to their color table and make their mark on their color team’s canvas.
We hope that this experience left each person feeling connected to themselves, their classmates and to Cooper Middle School.
