FULL SERVICE PROJECTS

The the better the plan, the smoother the process.  Our relationship with our clients is fundamental in executing refined, luxurious spaces.  Our system allows our clients to know where their projects stand, and what to expect next.  

 

One of the major advantages in retaining our full-service interior design service is our SIDC Certification in neuroaesthetics.  Our expertise in the way thoughtfully crafted spaces and artwork affect your health bring you added value in working with us to create an environment that will exceed your expectations. Elan Design is proud to partner with industry leaders in the latest technology for lighting, acoustics, security, and of course furnishings.  Everything is easily purchased in-house.

We'll review your requirements based on the information you provide us in our questionnaire. We can answer any questions you may have about timing, investment expectations, and our process. Once we agree to work on together, you'll sign the contract and submit payment for the Design Services deposit.

STEP 2 - SITE VISIT

We visit your space to identify your style and wish lists. Existing pieces you would like to incorporate are catalogued. We discuss general concepts and colors. Photos and measurements are also taken at this initial meeting.
 

For new construction, we prefer to get in on the ground level. It is better to coordinate various details with the contractor and architect before construction begins to avoid having to add or delete something further in the process. To that end, we request copies of any blueprints, plans, or drawings.

We'll discuss your project, budget, and review our standard fees and rates for various  services.  Once we agree to work on the project together, we complete our Standard Operating Agreement.  We accept a retainer for our services, and schedule your first onsite consultation.

STEP 3 - DESIGN CONCEPT REVIEW AND APPROVAL

It takes about four weeks to present you with a full design plan and proposal, which includes a floor plan, paint colors, artwork, lighting, furnishings, window dressings, rugs, throw pillows and linens, accessories and any additional recommendations for the space.  We then review any changes or adjustments you may have.  At the completion of this phase, you and your contractors will have the final design concept. The proposal of items to purchase is finalized, approved and payment for those items is collected.

STEP 4 - PROCUREMENT

The team orders all of the elements on the proposal. They are tracked and checked upon delivery. Any problem in the order is handled internally, and you enjoy ease of motion throughout the process.  Installation Day is confirmed once all of the pieces are delivered to the warehouse.

STEP 5 - INSTALLATION

After the space is prepared and ready to be decorated, our team comes to install all of the artwork, furnishings, window dressings, rugs, lighting and whatever else was in the proposal.  All of the elements are put in place exactly where they are supposed to go.  This can take several days depending on the coordination of our professional installers.

STEP 6 - PROFESSIONAL INTERIORS PHOTOGRAPHY

At the end of the process, we secure Professional Photography of the space. Photos are highlighted in our portfolio, marketing materials and sometimes submitted for publishing. These photographs are the property of, and at the expense of Elan Design.
