Our core mission at Elan Design is to bring love & luxury into every home, so when our longtime client relocated back to the Virginia area with her two daughters after a few years in Michigan, we were thrilled she called us to help her and her family get settled in.  A beautiful love story, that her new husband, whom she met in Michigan instantly decided to relocate to Virginia to be with her.  His older children still live in Michigan and would be coming to Virginia to visit him.  He said to us in our first meeting, I want my kids and my family to visit as much as possible.  I assured him that I would create spaces that would accomplish that. 

 

When the big kids aren't in town, this apartment is heavily used for friend and family gatherings. We designed a space customized to their active lifestyle, with a relaxed sense of luxury.  We leaned into neuroaesthetic and biophilic principles to create spaces that soothed their souls, was pet friendly with their two large dogs, and enhanced what was already a strong connection with each other.
